The Youth Red Cross (YRC) unit of Women’s Degree College, Kamakhyanagar is committed to nurturing humanitarian values, compassion, and social responsibility among students. Established in 2015, the unit provides a constructive platform for young volunteers to develop leadership qualities, service-oriented attitudes, and awareness about health, safety, and community welfare. At present, the YRC unit consists of 80 active student volunteers who participate enthusiastically in various developmental and outreach activities.

The unit focuses on inculcating empathy, discipline, cooperation, and ethical citizenship through participation in programmes such as health and hygiene awareness, blood donation motivation, disaster preparedness training, first-aid awareness, environmental protection activities, and community welfare initiatives.
